A residential development of 16 dwellings in West Lulworth, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Heritage Coastline and Conservation Area.
The proposal replaced the former Hambury Hotel ‐ an unsightly modern building with various extensions and outbuildings. Planning was granted in 2006.
Developed by Cawdor Construction Ltd. and completed in 2010.
The site included 4no 1 bedroom flats (with the appearance of 2 semi‐detached cottages) and a 2 bedroom cottage for affordable housing (rented and shared equity). Private market housing included 2, 3 and 4 bedroom terraced, semi‐detached and detached dwellings.
