I was grateful to have the opportunity to design this contemporary detached property in 2018.

Taking reference from agrarian buildings, contemporary materials were detailed (zinc roofing, aluminium windows and rainwater goods), alongside traditional brick and flint.

The sloping site allowed the dwelling to be built into the slope, minimising its scale and impact within the AONB setting and adjacent listed buildings.

The dwelling replaces an existing chalet, for which a Certificate of Lawful Use was approved in 2016.
